The Regional Barwon South West Maternal and Child Health nurse group were presented with overweight and obesity data from the Great South Coast this week, before learning more about a systems approach to obesity prevention and the fantastic community efforts that have already begun across the Southern Grampians and Glenelg region. The group also became familiar with the Southern Grampians obesity system map, using this as a prompt to share and plan expansion of existing strategies towards making the environment more conducive to healthy eating and physical activity within their five respective local government areas.
