The NHSD is a consolidated and comprehensive national directory of health services and provider information. It covers all Australian jurisdictions with services across the public and private sector. Implemented by Healthdirect Australia on behalf of all Australian Governments, it aligns with and supports current health reform activities in Australia. Better Health Channel
Better Health Channel has an extensive range of information on specific conditions and health promotion information. It includes a medicines guide, facts sheets, medical dictionary, an image library, healthy recipes and “ask the experts”. A great resource for both consumers and professionals. It also includes a service directory which primarily includes health professionals.

Get the facts on mental health help
While mental health services in rural and remote parts of Australia are substantially more limited than in metropolitan areas, the good news is that there is an increasing number of telephone and online services that people can access to receive immediate, free and specialised assistance.
